After-School Sewing Academy – Session 2

Join us at All Things Fancy for the next session of our After-School Sewing Academy!

This 9-week program is designed for beginner and early-intermediate sewists who are ready to build their confidence, learn new techniques, and create a fun mix of practical and creative sewing projects.

Students do not need to have completed our previous sewing session to join. Each project is beginner-friendly, while returning students will have opportunities to personalize their work and continue building on skills they’ve already learned.

November 17 – Reusable Lunch / Snack Bag
November 24 – Holiday Stocking
December 1 – Stuffed Pillow Pal / Simple Plushie
December 8 – Reversible Tote Bag with Pocket
December 15 – Junior Designer + Finish-Up Day

Throughout the session, students will practice skills such as straight stitching, hemming, topstitching, pockets, lining, boxed corners, patchwork, curves, straps, pressing, and project construction.

What’s Included

All basic sewing supplies and project materials are included in the class fee.

We will provide a variety of fabrics for students to choose from. If your child has a special fabric they would like to use for a particular project, they are welcome to bring it along and we can help determine whether it is appropriate for that project.

Some projects may take more or less time depending on each student’s pace, so our project schedule may be adjusted slightly throughout the session.

Our goal is for every student to leave Sewing Academy feeling more confident at the sewing machine, more independent in their sewing skills, and proud of the things they created themselves.
